308 ci Chevy with Hilborn Injection, custom made headers, 6:14 in the rear and a 4-speed, believe me I have been told you could hear her SCREAM !!!! They only lost 1 race in 3 years of running the car.  I think John was watching for ladies and got caught snoozing at the start !

Ok, time to jump ahead 17 years. Dad and Mom raised my sister and I. The racing stopped during this time. Getting interested in cars we sold my 67' Nova SS (stock, even with the Kleenx dispenser) when we bought my 68' Camaro. We took this to the track and I got runner-up at the High School Drags in 81'

Well, Dad (Big "C") got tired of the fenders so we bought Jerry Ruth's old Pay-N-Pak Fuel Chassis, gave it some paint, put in a 331 Chev with Enderle Injection that Big "C" built (I helped, but Dad was the Brains) and took her to the track. What a ride! If you EVER get a chance to drive one of these I would say, JUST DO IT!

We ran alky, no electronics and ran in the range of 8.20-8.40 150-160mph. Better win than loss record. Wish we still had the car !!!!! Who knows maybe a new Jr Fuel Car, for Nostalgia!!

Mom and Dad wanted to go to a rear motor car for safty so we sold this one and purchased a rear motor car.

We set the C/F world record in this car in 1983. We put together a 306 inch motor, which actually never ran right, but we backed up our runs close enough to set the record . We only ran the motor for two weekends and yanked it. Someone helped us on this motor. (which didn't help) Dad and I found out later the cam grind was different than we were told!

1983 world finals in Spokane. Huge field of 65+cars for Super Comp. We made it to the Final Four ! Our fastest run was 8.09 and best mph of 169.

We sold the car in 84' after I got married, and now we are raising a family.
